We are in the quiet, peaceful neighborhood of Peterson, MN only a short scenic ride from Lanesboro. Five large guest rooms all with private baths, cable tv, and refrigerators. Four include a two-person whirlpool and queen-size beds. Three with skylights, two with fireplaces and one with a king-size bed. There's also a suite to accomodate a family of four.
In the Historic Bluff Country of southeastern Minnesota, visit a bed and breakfast that led one writer to say: "The house and its grounds feel a bit like a European estate. Inside the inn, decor is colorful French country. As hosts, the Botchers have a very warm style" Minneapolis/St. Paul Star Tribune
The Historic Wenneson Inn was built in 1904 along the tracks of the Southern Minnesota Railroad, now the beautiful Root River Bicycle Trail. Built by businessman W. A. Wenneson,
the hotel served rail travelers coming through Peterson for many years. In 1994 we completely restored and renovated it to bring it back to
its historical beauty and charm. In 2001 the carriage house was converted into four rooms, making nine rooms with private baths available for guests (two have whirlpool baths), and our
third-floor suite has two bedrooms and a sitting room, dormers and window seats overlooking the courtyard and hills.
